Quality Assurance
We hold certification of compliance to The Lifts Regulations 2016 - Schedule 18, enabling us to design, supply, install and test new passenger lifts in the UK.
We are also accredited members of LEIA (Lift & Escalator Industry Association), SafeContractor and British Safety Council safety schemes as well as subscribing members of BSI.
If you have any other queries about our integrated management system or accreditations, please feel free to contact us.
We have maintained an accredited integrated management system to ISO:9001, ISO:14001 and ISO:45001 since 2015. All of our processes and procedures are based upon the cycle of continuous improvement.
Our Environmental Impact
Our environmental impact is extremely important to us. We take great care to ensure that our activities are as sustainable and responsible as possible, from the work carried out by our field engineers to the day-to-day business in our offices.
Our environmental commitments include:
-
Improving the eco-efficiency of new and existing lifts on our portfolio by adopting low-energy LED lighting, energy recovery units, regenerative drive systems, and automatic shutdown of non-essential items such as lights and displays after periods of inactivity
-
Delivering and refreshing environmental awareness training to all employees as appropriate for their roles
-
Operating a paperless office
-
Reducing our CO2 emissions by 10% per annum over a 5-year period by geographical routing of site engineers, introduction of hybrid/electric fleet and adopting power saving measures and equipment in our office.
Health & Safety
We have numerous policies and procedures in place to ensure optimal health and safety performance throughout our work activities, and as LEIA members have signed the associations safety charter. Regular formal consultation with staff as individuals and as part of the wider team also contributes to further development of our safe working practices and hazard analysis through ever evolving working environments and new equipment being brought to market.
Our field-based operatives undergo competency assessment at commencement of their employment and follow a personalised training plan appropriate to their roles.
This is designed to develop with our individuals to ensure they are comprehensively trained in Health and Safety skills. Our current repertoire includes, but is not limited to:
-
EOR/202N (Basic Lift Safety)
-
NVQ level 3 for field engineers and level 4 for testing and commissioning personnel
-
Asbestos Awareness
-
Emergency First Aid at Work
-
Electrical Safety
-
Hot Works
-
Manual Handling
-
Environmental Protection and Hazardous Substances
-
PASMA Towers for Users
-
Lift specific internal training seminars at quarterly intervals
-
Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
All management staff responsible for site operations are ex-field operatives themselves, and have either obtained or are working towards IOSH Managing Safely in addition to similar training plans transitioning from field to office based safety skills.
